Eleven years, one wild journey

Our wedding day, 2015

11 · 11 · 2015

We tied the knot

We first met online in late 2014 and knew immediately we were meant to be together. So on 11/11/2015, a day made of ones, we walked into a Minnesota courthouse and walked out married. Eleven years later, we're still saying yes.

Our 40 acres near Tucson

The desert years

40 acres & a dream

Our journey took us to Arizona, where we built an off-grid tiny house with our own four hands on 40 acres of desert near Tucson. Sun, dust, and million-star skies. We learned we could build anything together.

Building our forever home
The finished forever home

2020 – 2021

The forever home

In 2020 we broke ground on our forever home and finished it in late 2021. After years of living off the grid, we finally had a flush toilet. Honestly, it felt like a palace.

Kaua'i calls

We visited Kaua'i for the first time and instantly fell in love with the land. Before we knew it, we'd purchased acreage in the beautiful Waioli Valley and started dreaming in green.

Anahola

The pivot

We set out to develop and build on our parcel, but the island had other plans. So we pivoted and built another tiny house, this time at the Garden of Eden in Anahola, just in time to welcome our son Cybin into the world.
